What to look for
- Frame tube or angle thickness: heavier sections bend less and carry more weight.
- Base: metal strips, mesh or a plywood board; plywood gives the most even support for cotton mattresses.
- Finish: powder coating resists rust, important in humid months.
- Welds and joints: clean, full welds, or bolted designs that can be dismantled for moving.
- Feet: caps that protect floors and stop wobbling.
