Choosing a sofa for a Hyderabad home
A sofa is the piece you use most and replace least, so it pays to get three things right: size, seat comfort and fabric. Furniture House has made sofas in Narsingi since 2014, both ready designs you can see in the showroom and sofas built to the measurements of your room.

Measure before you choose
Measure the wall, then leave room to walk: about 75–90 cm in front of the sofa for a centre table and legroom, and clear paths to the balcony and doors. Check the lift and staircase too. A large sofa can often be built in sections that bolt together so it goes up easily.
Seat comfort: depth, height and foam
Most adults are comfortable with a seat depth of 53–58 cm (21–23 in) and a seat height of 42–46 cm. Deeper seats suit people who like to sit cross-legged or lounge. Seat comfort comes mostly from foam density: high-density foam keeps its shape for years, while cheap foam goes flat. Ask what foam is used in any sofa you're comparing.
Fabric for Hyderabad weather
Textured woven fabrics breathe well in summer and hide wear. Velvet looks rich but shows marks. Leatherette wipes clean but can feel warm and may peel after some years. With children or pets, choose a tight weave or a stain-resistant fabric. At our showroom you can compare swatches in daylight.
Made to order, and repaired later
Every sofa design can be made in a different size, seat depth, arm style or fabric. And because we also repair sofas, we can replace foam or fabric years later instead of you buying a new one.

Can I choose my own sofa fabric?
Yes. Bring a fabric you like or pick from our swatches at the Narsingi showroom. We also re-cover old sofas in new fabric if you only want a fresh look.
Do you make sofas to fit a specific wall?
Yes. Share the wall length and a photo on WhatsApp. We draw the sofa to that size before we cut any wood.
Do you repair sofas as well?
Yes. We fix foam, springs, frames and fabric. See our sofa repair service.
How long does a good sofa last?
A sofa with a solid wood frame and high-density foam can last many years; the foam and fabric can be renewed while the frame lasts much longer.
Do you deliver sofas up to apartments without a big lift?
Yes. Large sofas can be made in sections that bolt together, so they fit through lifts and stairwells.
