Sofa Repair in detail

What sofa repair covers

Most sofas are thrown away for problems that can be fixed in a day or two. Seats sink because the foam has lost its density. Cushions feel lumpy because the fibre filling has bunched. A creak or a dip usually means a loose joint, a snapped spring or tired webbing under the seat. Torn or faded fabric is the most visible problem, and often the cheapest to solve with a new cover or reupholstery.

Furniture House repairs fabric, leatherette and leather sofas, L-shaped and corner sofas, sofa cum beds, recliners and wooden sofas with loose cushions. The same craftsmen who build sofas in our Narsingi workshop do the repairs, so they know how the frame, springs, webbing and foam are meant to work together.

How a sofa repair job works

  1. Send photos on WhatsApp. One photo of the whole sofa and one close-up of the problem is usually enough for a first estimate.
  2. Inspection. For hidden problems such as springs, frames or recliner mechanisms, we inspect at your home before quoting.
  3. Quote before work. You approve the price, the fabric and the foam grade before we start.
  4. Repair. Small jobs such as joint fixing are done on site. Foam, spring and reupholstery work is done at our workshop, and the sofa comes back ready to use.

Repair or replace?

If the frame is solid wood and the joints are sound, repair almost always makes sense: a good frame can take several rounds of new foam and fabric. Replacement makes more sense when the frame is particle board that has cracked or swollen, or when you want a different size or shape. In that case we can also make a new sofa to order in the exact size you need.

FAQ

Sofa Repair: questions

How long does sofa repair take?
Joint and minor frame repairs are usually done on site in a few hours. Foam replacement, spring work and reupholstery are done at our workshop and normally take a few days, depending on the fabric you choose.
Can you repair a sofa at my home?
Yes, for loose joints, legs, brackets and small fixes. Bigger jobs such as reupholstery or spring replacement need workshop tools, so we collect the sofa and bring it back.
Do you repair leather and leatherette sofas?
Yes. Peeling leatherette is usually solved by replacing the worn panels or re-covering the sofa. Real leather can often be cleaned, repaired and re-coloured.
Can I choose a new fabric when you repair my sofa?
Yes. Pick from our swatches at the Narsingi showroom or bring your own fabric. We will tell you how many metres your sofa needs.
How do I get a price for sofa repair?
WhatsApp a photo of the full sofa and a close-up of the problem to 99518 88455. We reply with an estimate and confirm the final price after inspection, before any work starts.
