Queen vs double: clearing up the sizes
In Indian shops, "double bed" can mean several sizes. The two most common are 60 × 72 inches (5 × 6 ft) and 60 × 78 inches (5 × 6.5 ft). The longer 78-inch version is usually called a queen size bed and suits anyone taller than about 5'8". Always check the mattress length, not just the name.

Is a double bed the same as a queen bed?
In India, 'double bed' usually means a 4.5 x 6 ft or 5 x 6.5 ft bed. A queen bed is 5 x 6.5 ft (60 x 78 in). Tell us the mattress size and we build to it.
Queen or king: which should I buy?
Choose queen for rooms around 10 x 11 ft or for one adult and a child; king for 12 x 12 ft rooms or more, or for two adults who want more space.
