Furniture Polishing & Restoration in detail

Bring tired wood back to life

Hyderabad is hard on wooden furniture. Summer heat dries finishes until they crack, monsoon humidity clouds them, and daily use wears through the polish on table tops, arm rests and drawer fronts. Underneath, the wood is usually fine. Polishing and refinishing removes the damaged layer and puts a fresh, protective finish back on, often making old furniture look better than new.

What polishing can fix

At home or in the workshop?

Large fixed items such as wardrobes, doors and beds are usually polished at your home, with the room covered and ventilated. Smaller pieces, deep scratch repair, colour changes and antique restoration are done at our Narsingi workshop, where the finish can cure properly without dust.

Restore instead of replace

A solid teak or sheesham bed, dining table or wardrobe is worth far more refinished than replaced with new engineered-wood furniture. If you are thinking of selling old furniture or buying second-hand, compare the cost of polishing what you already own first. WhatsApp us a photo for an estimate.

FAQ

Furniture Polishing & Restoration: questions

How long does furniture polishing take?
A single table or chair usually takes one to three days including drying time. A full room of furniture at home takes a few days, depending on the finish chosen.
Melamine or PU polish: which is better?
PU is tougher and more resistant to heat, water and scratches, so it suits dining and centre tables. Melamine is a good, economical finish for beds, wardrobes and furniture that gets less wear.
Can you change the colour of my furniture?
Yes. We can strip the old finish and stain wood darker or lighter, or paint it a solid colour, then seal it with a clear coat.
Can you remove white water rings from a table?
Often, yes. Shallow marks can be polished out. Deeper damage needs the top to be sanded and refinished.
Is the smell from polishing harmful?
Fresh polish has a strong smell while it cures. We ventilate the room during the work, and the smell fades within a few days. For smaller pieces, workshop polishing avoids it entirely.
