A king size bed in India takes a 72 × 78 inch mattress (6 × 6.5 ft, roughly 183 × 198 cm). The frame adds about 10–15 cm on each side and more at the head if the headboard is thick, so plan for a footprint of roughly 6.5 × 7 ft. That's why it pays to measure the room before choosing a headboard style.

Storage in a king bed
A king bed hides a lot of space. Box storage gives the most volume for the price; hydraulic storage gives full access by lifting the whole platform. With hydraulic beds, keep the mattress weight in mind: we fit pistons rated for your mattress.

What is the size of a king size bed in feet?
The mattress is 6 x 6.5 ft (72 x 78 in). Allow about 6.5 x 7 ft of floor space for the frame.
Will a king bed fit in a 10 x 10 ft bedroom?
It fits, but it leaves about 2 feet on each side. For rooms under 11 x 11 ft we usually suggest a queen bed or a king with no footboard.
Can I get storage in a king size bed?
Yes. Choose box storage (lift-up panels) or hydraulic storage (the whole platform lifts on gas pistons).
