Learn moreOffice chair problems we fix
An office chair has a handful of parts that do almost all the work: the gas lift (hydraulic cylinder) that sets the height, the tilt mechanism under the seat, the star base and castor wheels, the armrests, and the mesh or foam you actually sit on. When one of these fails the chair feels broken, but the other parts are usually fine. Replacing the failed part costs a fraction of a new chair.
- Chair sinks slowly or won't stay up: worn gas lift. This is the most common office chair repair.
- Chair won't go up or down at all: stuck lever, damaged mechanism or seized gas lift.
- Chair leans or wobbles: cracked star base, loose mechanism plate or bent column.
- Wheels drag, squeak or have fallen off: worn or broken castors.
- Armrest loose or broken: stripped mounting or cracked arm.
- Torn mesh or flattened seat: mesh replacement, or new seat foam and upholstery.
Single chairs and bulk repairs
For homes we repair single chairs, often in one visit. For offices we repair chairs in bulk on site, in batches, so your team keeps working. Offices in the Financial District, Gachibowli, HITEC City and Kondapur often have dozens of chairs with the same failed gas lift or castors; we bring matching parts and fix them together. Offices that want this handled regularly can choose a maintenance contract.
Why replace the part, not the chair
A replacement gas cylinder retails online in India for roughly ₹435 to ₹2,900, depending on class and brand (marketplace listings, October 2026), plus fitting. Fitting time depends on how firmly the old cylinder is seated: some come out in minutes, older ones need a press. A good ergonomic chair can keep going for years with the right parts, which matters most when an office has many chairs.
Tip: when a gas lift is replaced, ask for a Class 3 or Class 4 cylinder. These are rated for heavier daily use than cheap unbranded cylinders.
How booking works
- WhatsApp a photo of the chair, a photo of the underside of the seat and a short note about the problem.
- We confirm which part is needed and give an estimate.
- We repair at your home or office, or take the chair to our Narsingi workshop for mesh and upholstery work.
