Soft headboards, hotel-style comfort
An upholstered bed has a padded headboard, and often a fabric-covered frame, instead of bare wood. It's comfortable to lean against for reading or watching TV in bed, and it brings a soft, hotel-like feel to the bedroom.
Headboard styles
- Channel-tufted: vertical padded channels, modern and elegant (like our grey and beige designs).
- Button-tufted: classic diamond pattern.
- Plain panel: smooth padded panel, minimal.
- Wingback: headboard wraps around the sides.
Choosing fabric
Velvet looks luxurious; textured weaves are more forgiving; leatherette wipes clean. Since the headboard is where heads rest, choose a darker shade or stain-resistant fabric if you don't want marks to show. Many upholstered beds also come with drawers or box storage underneath.

Are upholstered beds hard to clean?
Choose a stain-resistant or leatherette fabric for easy cleaning. Fabric headboards can be re-covered later if needed.
