Choosing a mattress
The right mattress depends on how you sleep, how warm you get at night, and whether you want something that can be renewed. Furniture House makes cotton mattresses in its own workshop and supplies foam mattresses, in standard and custom sizes, plus pillows and bolsters.

Get the size right
Measure the inside of the bed frame, not the old mattress, since old mattresses shrink and spread. Standard sizes are single 36 × 72/75 in, queen 60 × 78 in and king 72 × 78 in, but custom beds and diwans often need something different. We make custom size mattresses to fit.
Thickness
Cotton mattresses are commonly 4–6 inches thick. On hydraulic beds, keep the mattress light enough for the pistons to lift easily.
Renew instead of replace
A flattened cotton mattress can be opened, cleaned, carded and refilled for much less than a new one. See cotton mattress making and refilling.

Mattresses & Bedding: your questions
Cotton or foam mattress: which is better?
Cotton is firm, breathable and cool in Hyderabad's summers, and can be refilled. Foam is softer and lighter but cannot be refilled. Many customers choose cotton for back support.
Can you make a mattress in a custom size?
Yes. Send the bed's inner length and width; we make the mattress to fit exactly.
Do you refill old cotton mattresses?
