Small pieces that do a lot
An ottoman or pouffe is a footrest, an extra seat and sometimes a storage box, all in one. Two ottomans tucked under a centre table are an easy way to add seating for guests without crowding the living room, which is exactly how they're used with our L-shaped sectional sofa.
Types
- Storage ottomans: lift-up lids for blankets, toys or magazines.
- Cube and round pouffes: light, movable seats.
- Bench ottomans: long, for the foot of a bed or an entrance.
Matching your sofa
Ottomans can be upholstered in the same fabric as your sofa, or a contrasting colour as an accent. Seat height should be close to your sofa's seat height, around 40–45 cm, if you want to use it as a footrest.
