When a standard mattress won't fit
Custom beds, old cots, diwans, bunk beds, window seats, caravan-style loft beds and imported bed frames often don't match standard mattress sizes. A mattress that's too small slides around and leaves gaps; one that's too large bulges and won't sit flat. A custom-size mattress fits exactly.
How to measure
- Measure the inside length of the bed frame at the top, in inches or centimetres.
- Measure the inside width the same way.
- Measure the depth of the frame lip if the mattress sits inside it.
- Note any cut-outs needed, for example around bed posts.
We subtract a small allowance so the mattress goes in easily without gaps.
Materials
Choose pure cotton (box-stitched or plain), foam, or a combination, in the thickness you need. We also cut existing foam mattresses down to a new size.
