Comfort checklist
- Seat height: about 45 cm for a standard 75 cm table, leaving 25–30 cm for knees.
- Seat depth and width: at least 40–45 cm.
- Back support: ladder-backs and slight backward angles are comfortable for long meals.
- Cushioned seats: high-density foam, with fabric or leatherette that's easy to clean.
- Arms: armless chairs tuck under the table; armchairs are nice at the head of the table.
