Wood: the dining table that lasts
A solid wooden dining table can serve a family for decades. It's warm to touch, forgiving of daily knocks, and when it eventually looks worn, it can be sanded and refinished to look new again, something marble and glass can't offer.

Finish matters
A PU (polyurethane) finish resists heat, water and stains best, which is ideal for daily family dining. Melamine is a good economical finish. Ask which finish is used.
