Learn moreFurniture repair that fixes the cause
Wobbly chairs, cracked table legs, beds that creak and drawers that stick all have a mechanical cause: a joint that has dried out and loosened, a screw that has stripped its hole, a rail that has split along the grain, or hardware that has worn out. Furniture House repairs them properly, at your home or in our Narsingi workshop.
Common repairs
| Problem | How we fix it |
|---|---|
| Loose or wobbly joints | Dismantle, clean old glue, re-glue under clamps, add dowels or brackets where needed |
| Stripped screw holes | Plug and re-drill, or use larger fixings |
| Cracked or broken legs and rails | Glue and reinforce, or make a matching replacement part |
| Split table top or panel | Glue and clamp, then refinish |
| Sticking drawers | Replace channels or plane runners |
| Swollen laminate or veneer | Replace the damaged section and refinish |
Solid wood vs engineered wood
Solid wood (teak, sheesham, other hardwoods) can be repaired almost indefinitely. Plywood is very repairable. Particle board is the hardest: once it swells with water or a screw pulls out, it crumbles. We'll tell you when replacing a part is wiser than repairing it, and can make that part in our workshop.

WhatsApp a photo of the whole piece and a close-up of the damage. Small repairs are done on site; bigger ones in the workshop. After repair, a polish can make the piece look new too. For general home carpentry, see carpenter services.
