Ready-made curtains come in a few fixed lengths, so they either pool on the floor or stop short of it. Stitched curtains are made to your exact window or wall height and width, in the heading style and lining you choose.

Lining and fabric
Blackout lining blocks light and a good share of heat, which is ideal for west-facing bedrooms in Hyderabad. Standard lining protects the curtain fabric from sun fading and helps it hang better. Sheers give daytime privacy without darkening the room and are often layered with a blackout curtain. As a rule, curtain width should be about 1.5 to 2.5 times the window width for full folds.
