A loaded curtain rod carries more weight than most people expect, especially with lined or blackout curtains, and it is pulled every day. Rods fixed with the wrong plugs work loose and pull out of the wall. We install curtain rods, tracks and brackets with fixings suited to your wall or ceiling, level and at the right height.

Getting the height and width right
Mounting the rod higher than the window, closer to the ceiling, makes a room look taller. Extending it 15 to 25 cm beyond each side lets curtains clear the glass when open, letting in more light. We'll suggest the best position when we visit.
Walls and ceilings
Brick and concrete walls need proper wall plugs and screws; gypsum partitions and false ceilings need special anchors or fixing into the frame behind. We also repair loose or broken brackets and replace bent rods. To have curtains stitched as well, see curtain stitching.
